Welcome to my world

Hello and welcome to my little cellar.

I’m Craig and I live in Cambridgeshire with my Labrador as we await my Fiancée Elizabeth to finish uni and return home, when if all goes to plan we will get a house to make our home.  We’re due to be married late summer next year which I can’t wait for.

As I work in the wine trade a lot of my time is spent tasting, drinking and talking about wine. It’s a great job and deal with a wide variety of people. I feel lucky to have a job I thoroughly enjoy as I know for some a job is just a job and they get no real satisfaction out of it. The daily grind as it’s known!! My job does spill into my personal life as one might expect and mostly, my friends quite enjoy talking wine. I do try and steer them away from their comfort zones of supermarket Merlots and Sauvignon Blancs as good tasting wine need not be expensive. With some its working and others I need to work on a little harder. While they mostly enjoy wines I recommend and like to hear about how good the Leoville Barton 1988 was, Elizabeth hates wine but does enjoy Gin…

At heart I’m a proper country lad but I have a city boys Job. I thoroughly enjoy walking my dog Jess and I had great joy training her, shooting, hunting, tweed, tea, rugby and generally doing little jobs outside. I live in my Hunter wellies and after 5 years of loyal service, they’re still going strong.

So I’m about to embark on the wonderful journey through getting engaged to planning the wedding to the big day then to marriage itself, Which at the end of the day is the purpose of it all. I’m lucky that Elizabeth is also my best friend which should make the planning an enjoyable experience.
